Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the graphics systems and video servers for R&D’s Emerging Products Development (EPD) workstream of leading global map provider NAVTEQ (www.navteq.com) – subsidiary of NOKIA Corporation. The role requires working closely under and with Technical Leader in fast-paced western culture environment, while being able to perform self-sufficiently and handle software presentations, demos and meetings as required.
Primary Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Visuals Team Technical Leader under the EPD Workstream Manager
• Build and maintain parts of the programming schedule as well as other technical design documents
• Develop and implement visual and related tools as necessary to support NAVTEQ production division
• Help to develop and maintain a healthy and positive company culture

Additional Requirements
Experience Required
• 4+ years of professional experience in J2EE
• experience in Oracle/plSQL
• University Masters Degree preferably in IT/maths/physics
Optional Experience
• 4+ years of professional experience in C++
• 2+ years in 3D/graphics software development (DirectX / OpenGL)
Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong math and/or 3D math skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills preferred
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Flexibility (general and technology)
• Ability to plan, document and maintain a reliable programming schedule
• Organisational skills and positive can-do attitude preferred
• Strong commitment and business driven thinking preferred
• Individual must be self motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work closely with Technical Lead, follow the rules set in global multicultural US corporation
